Project - Hill Brow, Liss
- Completed date :
- February 2008
Built on the site of an old derelict bungalow, Analytic took this project from its basic conception, managing the design and planning process, and then from beginning to the end of the construction process. Meticulously detailed, great care was taken to achieve the credible residence we see here today, selecting architectural details and materials not on the their ease of use or availability, but on their aesthetics, suitability and longevity, whilst still keeping the cost of construction firmly in focus, and under control. Contemporary glazing was provided by High Quality Joinery, and using traditional timber sash windows and doors where these were considered more sympathetic and appropriate. The magnificent contemporary open-plan kitchen was designed by Hugh Adlam, and supplied by Absolute Kitchens, and features Quarella worktops, super sleek stainless steel taps from MGS, and integrated appliances from Smeg. Heating is inconspicuously taken care of by a full, independently zoned water-fed underfloor heating system, augmented with wood burning stoves designed to add a homely touch to this magnificent family home. A more recent project in 2017 saw the addition of additional accommodation including an outdoor, heated swimming pool, including extensive landscaping, with integrated lighting to ensure maximum usability of this fabulous facility
