Project - Liongate Gardens, Kew
- Completed date :
- October 2015
A slightly tired and poorly planned late 1980s property provided the basis for this magnificent ultra-contemporary project, which was meticulously executed using the very best design, materials and workmanship available. The result is a breathtaking home with, at its heart, a fabulous steamed plywood and Corian kitchen from Splinterworks, specially commissioned by Analytic. The beautiful bespoke joinery extends to other areas of the house, including a fabulous study created from natural American Black Walnut, following beautiful and organic curves. There is also extensive areas of both minimally framed, and frameless glazing to the rear of the property, sourced from a wide range of suppliers, including High Quality Joinery, IQ Glass and Mumford and Wood. The rear extension in particular is highly unusual, featuring bespoke copper cladding provided by Boss Metals, and this will continue to provide a wonderful feature to the rear extension, as it continues to mellow due to the natural weathering process. Internally, the contemporary interior environment is effortlessly managed by an extensive IT installation, controlling all heating and lighting functions, allowing the client to take full advantage of their beautiful home. The bathrooms are all equipped with underfloor heating systems, extensive, frameless shower enclosures, and feature the very best in contemporary finishes, and simple, open plan designs.
